About Speak, Learn, & Play
Thoughtful, Collaborative Care for Children, Teens, and Families
Speak, Learn, & Play is a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy practice in Brooklyn, NY, supporting children, teens, and families through speech and language therapy, psychotherapy, parent coaching, and clinician-led social groups.
Founded in 2013 by Jennifer Volpe, CCC-SLP, and Amy Weber, LCSW, Speak, Learn, & Play was created with a shared belief: meaningful growth happens through connection, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the whole child.
Our Philosophy
We believe that children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and supported. Every child brings a unique set of strengths, challenges, and experiences, and our work begins by meeting them where they are.
Our approach is:
Whole-child and relationship-based, considering communication, emotional well-being, learning, and social development
Collaborative, working closely with families, schools, and other providers
Developmentally informed and evidence-based, with care tailored to each child’s needs
We also offer parent coaching as part of our commitment to partnering with families and supporting growth beyond individual sessions. We take the time to understand not just what a child is struggling with, but why—so support feels meaningful, respectful, and effective.
