Happy September!September’s theme is Resilience- but not the “toughen up,” push-through-it version. Real resilience doesn’t mean children never struggle, fall apart, need help, or take time to recover. It develops when they experience hard moments with enough safety and support to eventually return, reconnect, repair, and try again. This month, we’re exploring resilience from several angles: navigating change, recovering after meltdowns and mistakes, handling social challenges, taking small but meaningful risks, and learning to recognize what your mind and body need. We’re also making room for parent resilience, because supporting a child through an uneven road requires support, recovery, and self-compassion for adults too.
